Entrepreneurship is very popular in America today. Entrepreneurship is learning about
owning, running, and growing your own business. South Effingham High School began the Small Business Development
Pathway during the 2007-2008 school year to introduce students to this growing business trend.
Effingham
County has been designated as an entrepreneur friendly county. We hope our students will consider starting their own
business and helping our community grow. The Small Business Development Pathway will allow the students to understand
basic business concepts and procedures, business law, and how to create dynamic business plans. The experience students
will get in working in THE STANG ZONE, a school-based enterprise, will allow them to learn to become great employees
and employers in the future.
We invite all South Effingham High School students to
take courses in the Small Business Development Pathway so that they can learn to be an entrepreneur as well as help THE STANG
ZONE become a popular business for our school and our growing community.
The Small Business Development
Pathway consists of the following courses:
- Business Essentials
- Legal Environment of Business
- Entrepreneurial Ventures (course)
- Entrepreneurial Ventures I (store---school-based enterprise)
- Entrepreneurial
